Magali Altounian
DEPUTY MAMYOR OF NICE, RESPONSIBLE FOR EUROPEAN INSTITUTIONS AND FOR THE INFLUENCE OF THE CITY, PRESIDENT OF THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION OF THE REGION SUD
After studying law in political science and institutional communication in Nice and Aix-en-Provence, she was a parliamentary attaché to a Member of the European Parliament for six years in the South-East region. At the end of the latter's mandate, she decided to return to Nice, the city where she grew up and where she did part of her studies. It was then that she joined the team of the Mayor-President of the Nice-Côte d'Azur Metropolis, Christian Estrosi, as deputy delegate for European institutions and the influence of the city and metropolitan councillor. Finally, since July 2021, she has been a regional councillor for the Région Sud alongside Renaud Muselier, and chairs the Europe Commission, preparation of the French Presidency of the European Union.
She is committed to promoting the city of Nice and the Nice-Côte d'Azur Metropolis as an attractive territory that welcomes many talents and entrepreneurs. She is also committed to a Europe of territories.
