Patrick Torrent

PRESIDENT OF NECSTOUR

He has a degree in Industrial Psychology for the Organizations, from the University of Barcelona, and a degree in Law from the UNED (National University of Distance Education). He was trained in Marketing Management at ESADE, and in Information Systems Management at Master Associates.

From 2005 to 2009, he was Deputy Director General of the consortium “Turisme de Catalunya”, and has been the Deputy General Manager of the Catalan Tourist Board since 2010. He is currently the Executive Manager. He actively participated in the creation of the new Catalan Tourism board, and stimulated the definition of two Strategic Tourism Plans for Catalonia (2005-2010 and 2013-2016). He also coordinated the two Tourism Marketing Plans for Catalonia (2013-2016 and 2018-2016).

On 22 October 2015, he was appointed President of NECStouR, a network based in Brussels which brings together 37 associated regional tourism authorities and 36 associated organisations.
