François-Alexandre Bertrand

FOUNDER AND PRESDIENT OF PLATYPUS CRAFT

A former executive director of the Women's Forum for the Economy & Society, he has always been committed to impact projects that change society.

A keen scuba diver, he came up with the idea for Platypus during a trip to Australia, on the Great Barrier Reef in Cairns. The Platypus Craft company was created in 2013 to develop the semi-submersible concept and, as environmental protection is one of his main battles.

Noting the terrible pollution that was ravaging the seabed, he decided to take action and use the Platypus to clean up coastal waste through the BLUE ODYSSEY association with a deeply human, innovative and unifying approach so that everyone, young or old, company or individual, NGO or scientist, can come together to protect nature, without antagonism.
