Thomas Chalumeau

EXECUTIVE STRATEGY DIRECTOR MEA, ORANGE

Thomas Chalumeau is Orange Middle-East and Africa Chief Strategy & Development Officer and Executive committee Member.

Thomas leads Orange MEA global leadership strategy in the Region in the face of new market conditions, emerging opportunities and evolving businesses.

His scope of responsibilities includes strategic planning, business development and partnerships for Orange Middle-East and Africa 21 countries in Telecom, Media, Digital Banking, new E-services (including (IoT, digital, smart Tech and Energy) and Venture Capital.

He reports to Bruno Mettling, CEO of Orange Africa & Middle-East and Deputy CEO of Orange Group.

Thomas started his career as a Manager at McKinsey & Company before joining BNP Paribas Investment Bank as an M&A Banker and BNP Paribas Corporate & Investment Banking Chief Strategy Officer.

Thomas Chalumeau also acted as M&A and Strategy Director of the French Government Shareholding Agency in charge of managing government public stakes and leading market operations and advised several European governments in public management and shareholding policy with various international institutions.

He graduated from University of California at Berkeley, ESSEC, SciencesPo and Ecole Nationale d’Administration.
