Didier Perreol

FOUNDER OF EKIBIO AND PRESIDENT OF SYNABIO, FRANCE

Born in the Ardèche, son of a farmer, Didier is very attached to the land. With a degree in food processing, he was made aware at a very early age of the need for healthy food combined with the protection and respect of the environment.

More than 30 years ago, he opened a shop selling organic products in Annonay, then 4. In 1988, he created the Ardèche-based company EURO-NAT, which became EKIBIO, whose flagship brand PRIMEAL was created in 1989 with the discovery of quinoa seed.

At the end of 2008, Ekibio set up its Corporate Foundation, of which Didier is still President, with the aim of raising awareness of nature and its environment, with an omnipresent theme: LET'S GIVE MEANING TO OUR FOOD! The EKIBIO Foundation organises an annual event in Annonay, LA BIO DANS LES ETOILES, allowing debates and exchanges of practices on subjects related to healthy and sustainable food. The Foundation also supports numerous associative actions related to this theme.

In 2014, Didier PERREOL decided to transfer his company to the Léa Nature Group, in which he holds the position of Vice President. He is also President of SYNABIO, the organic producers' union, and participated in the creation of the Maison de la Bio in Paris, a meeting place for the various organisations in the profession.
